Let’s Navigate This Together

My name is Paula, and together with my sister Jessi, we created this space from our own real-life experiences—our health struggles, our mistakes, everything we’ve learned along the way, and the wins we’re so proud of.

Hi friend, Thank you so much for being here. It really means a lot that you’re taking a moment to read our story and be part of this project. My name is Paula, and together with my sister Jessi, we created this space from our own real-life experiences—our health struggles, our mistakes, everything we’ve learned along the way, and the wins we’re so proud of. A big part of this journey also came from a really scary month when our mom was hospitalized, which changed the way we see health forever. But before I get into all of that, let me tell you a little about me. I’m 42 years old, originally from Colombia, an Air Force wife, a mom of three, a sister, a daughter—and most importantly, a follower of Jesus. I’ve struggled with my weight for as long as I can remember. I grew up eating a very traditional Hispanic diet, with little understanding of nutrition and honestly, no real discipline when it came to exercise. Food was just… food. Something to fill you up, not fuel you. Things got worse during my college years, and then I was diagnosed with PCOS. After my pregnancies, my symptoms got even more intense. After my last baby, I decided I had to take control of my health. That’s when I started diving into the world of nutrition and wellness. At that point, I felt terrible. I was constantly exhausted, my joints hurt all the time, I had brain fog, and the inflammation was out of control. On top of that, my diastasis recti was severe. Every time I sneezed or coughed, it literally felt like my insides were coming out. I was around 220 pounds and managed to lose about 15–20 pounds, but I still didn’t feel like myself. Eventually, I decided to have a mommy makeover—and what I thought was a mild muscle separation turned out to be severe. I had a 7-inch gap. I still can’t believe it! That surgery ended up being one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. It helped my back pain, abdominal discomfort, incontinence, and even pain during intimacy. Sounds like things got better, right? Well… not completely. My nutrition was still all over the place. But over time—after years of reading, learning, exploring functional medicine, trying supplements, changing the way I eat, and finally committing to a consistent exercise routine—I can honestly say I feel better than ever. I’m in the best shape of my life.

This project is our heart. It’s our way of helping you feel better, learn more, and take control of your health—one step at a time. So come along with us on this eye-opening, sometimes messy, but beautiful journey… to becoming the best version of yourself. Because you deserve to be your best project.

But you know how life is… it always keeps things interesting. Now I’m navigating perimenopause—and wow, it’s been a ride. From sleep issues and night sweats to intrusive thoughts, low libido, feeling disconnected from myself, losing joy in things I used to love, itchy ears (yes, really!), dry skin… and so much more. And on top of that, I’m a military wife, which means a lot of solo parenting. I’m doing my best to raise my three kids (11, 8, and 5) during long stretches when my husband is away. He’s an amazing husband and dad—but his job requires a lot of travel, so it’s just part of our reality. Then came one of the hardest parts of our journey—our mom being hospitalized for five weeks due to multiple health conditions. And the truth is, many of those issues were the result of years of poor nutrition, lack of movement, and not prioritizing her overall well-being. That was a wake-up call. It made us realize how important it is to share what we’ve learned—so maybe you and your family don’t have to go through the same struggles. This project is our heart. It’s our way of helping you feel better, learn more, and take control of your health—one step at a time. So come along with us on this eye-opening, sometimes messy, but beautiful journey… to becoming the best version of yourself. Because you deserve to be your best project.
